I was not able to drive for some months and Dr Areias agreed to visit me at home which he did on a number of occasions. Some of these visits identified the need for a drip which he applied at home.

My father in law came home from hospital and a step-down facility, 3 months after having a hip op. After two days at home he wasn’t doing so well. We couldn’t risk another stint in hospital not with another Covid wave and, emotionally, he needed to be at home, around his loved ones and home comforts. However, we were worried about him and needed more specialized care. And that’s when Dr Areias stepped in and what a blessing he has been. A doctor who does house calls in this day and age is rare but he arrived that first evening when we were at a loss, and from then on has been amazing. He has a wonderful beside manner and is very supportive of the family as well as the patient. As worried family members you don’t want to bother a doctor too much but you are also so concerned and need advice. Dr Areias is very good with communication and suggestions on what to do, always backed up with follow up calls/whatsapps to check how everything is going. If anyone in the Upper Highway area have sick loved ones who need care at home which is a better option in these Covid times, then we definitely recommend Dr Areias.
So my self and my mum had a little medical complaint. Mum had a bad accident last year that she is still recovering from and I’ve been looking after her for it. Last week I had a little accident on a site where I hurt both of my legs all swollen I just had to carry on and get things done for both of us. This week the pain was unbearable and mum was in the same boat as me. I did not know what to do due to these Covid times I was concerned about going to a hospital. So I had found a recommendation for a Dr in the upper highway area that in this day and age dose house calls. I contacted him last night he came to our home and he treated my mum and my self. Have to say his bed side manner was amazing he even stayed late in to the night to make shore we where both aright. I’m so thankful that he helped us.
